The Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival lifted off on Friday at Pradera Verde in Lubao, Pampanga with thousands of visitors lining up at the gates as early as 4 am.

This year's balloon and music fest, which run until April 13, features 26 colorful hot air balloons from seven countries, including Australia, Vietnam, Netherlands, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and the Philippines.

The event also lined up concerts headlined by Bamboo, food bazaar, fireworks display and a host of other activities for all ages from 4 am to 10 pm.

On April 11, DJ Darren Espanto, Alamat, Mayonnaise, the Juans, Ben & Ben will open the festival, while DJ Kyle Echarri, Lola Amour, Earl Agustin, Ashbin, and Skusta Clee take over on the second day.

On April 13, Bamboo will lead James Reid, Silent Sanctuary, Zack Tabudlo, and Juan Carlos, into the festival's finale.

The Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival, recognized as Southeast Asia’s largest hot air balloon event, returns after staying in the ground for six years due to the pandemic and Covid-19 restrictions.

One-day only tickets are priced at P500 (general admission), P1,500 (VIP), and are available on-site and at SM Tickets (www.smtickets.com).
