The local government unit of Mabalacat City is targeting zero-casualty during the observance of Holy Week.
This was bared by Mayor Geld Aquino during the inspection of the Mabalacat Bus Terminal in Barangay Dau on Holy Wednesday.
Aquino and Brigadier General Jess B. Mendez, director of the Police Regional Office Region 3 (PRO 3) led the inspection to ensure public safety and order during the holidays.
The mayor cited the influx of travelers in one of the largest transport terminals in Central Luzon.
The mayor inspected the facilities and Police Assistance Desks, while coordinating with authorities to ensure the implementation of the city’s “zero-casualty target.”
Aquino also spoke with drivers and passengers to assess their situation.
He emphasized that aside from security, it is also important to focus on the traffic flow and the readiness of rescue units for any incident.
“We have ordered full police presence throughout the entire city of Mabalacat this Holy Week to ensure the safety of every citizen traveling home to their families,” said Aquino.
