

Mabalacat City Mayor Geld Aquino is pushing for a streamlined system in the distribution of financial assistance to residents.
The mayor disclosed this move during his recent meeting with representatives of hospitals, laboratories, diagnostic centers, mental health facilities, and funeral homes.
During dialogue, Aquino discussed the development of a new memorandum of agreement (MOA) that will guide how the entities in handling guarantee letters issued by the city government.
He said the MOA aims to streamline the issuance and acceptance of guarantee letters from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
“We are ready to help Mabalaqueños, and we hope you, as our healthcare partners, can also help us,” Aquino said.
The proposed system includes validating guarantee letters and pegging of financial support on the final hospital bill.
Aquino also committed to expand the coverage of residents who will benefit from the city’s aid programs.
CSWD Officer Josephine Tanglao assured that all requests for assistance will undergo proper assessment to ensure transparency and fairness.
Councilor Stephen Aurelio, Chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Health and Sanitation, welcomed the move.
Heads of the City Health Office, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), and Rural Health Units attended the meeting.
