Man wanted for illegal recruitment arrested

A 51-year-old man applying for a police clearance was arrested recently after authorities discovered that he was wanted for syndicated illegal recruitment and human trafficking.

Colonel Jay Dimaandal, director of Pampanga Police Provincial Office, said the suspect, a resident of Maramag, Bukidnon, went to the Mabalacat City Police Station on March 18, 2025 to process his application under the National Police Clearance System.

Upon verification, Dimaandal said police found he had an standing warrant of arrest issued on July 19, 2022, by Judge Eldred Dongallo Cole of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 45, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

He was facing charges under Republic Act 8042, as amended by RA 10022, for syndicated illegal recruitment, along with violations of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.

Dimaandal said police officers immediately arrested the man at the Mabalacat City Police Station.
