Mekeni Food Corporation and its partner, Vantage Energy, recently launched their Back-to-School Donation Drive in Porac town.
The companies donated a school essentials like bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, and art materials to Sapang Uwak Elementary School.
Aside from the school supplies, the companies also provided water dispensers, a television, tumblers, educational books, printers, and ink to the school.
The initiative also extended to a feeding program, with Mekeni preparing breakfast meals for the students and faculty members.
Mekeni said it has also supported a donation drive and a feeding program in Villa Maria, Porac.
Mekeni's feeding program aims to bring hope and show that help and support are available even in remote communities such as Sapang Uwak, the food corporation stated.
"This is our second year of collaboration with Vantage Energy and One Meralco Foundation. We are thrilled to partner with them once again to support the education and well-being of the students at Sapang Uwak Elementary School," said Apple Garcia, Mekeni’s HR Head.
“We are reminded of the pivotal role of collaboration in shaping our communities,” Vantage Energy President, Ernesto Cabral, for his part, said.
