The National Bureau of Investigation -- Dagupan District Office (NBI-DADO) said it has recently arrested Shawn Golden in San Antonio, Zambales, for Murder and Frustrated Murder.
On August 5, 2025, NBI Director Director Jaime Santiago said he received surrender “feelers” from the camp of Golden, who expressed a willingness to voluntarily surrender to the NBI.
Santiago added that he instructed NBI-DADO to act on the case.
Agents later confirmed the two standing Warrants of Arrest issued against Golden -- one for Frustrated Murder and another for Murder, both from RTC Branch 71, Iba, Zambales.
On August 6, 2025, NBI-DADO agents immediately went to Barangay Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales.
The operatives were able to locate the suspect in his friend's residence.
The NBI agents met Golden along the seashore of Pundaquit beach, where he was informed of his constitutional rights.
The suspect then voluntarily surrendered to the agents and boarded their vehicle.
