The Police Regional Office III (PRO-3) said that no major election-related incidents have been reported in Central Luzon.

"As of 12 noon, we have not recorded any major incidents starting when polling centers opened at 5 am," Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, PRO 3 director, said.

The concerns reported by authorities were 32 automated counting machines (ACMs), 16 of them in Pampanga which malfunctioned, along with some chips or USB.

"But this was immediately addressed by the Commission on Elections with the deployment of back up ACMs," Fajardo said.

She added that another minor issue was the power interruption in Pantabangan causing some delays but power went back at around 7:26 am.

"An as of 12 noon, we arrested 33 persons for violation of the liquor ban and 35 reported incidents of alleged vote buying although there were no arrests made," she added.

Fajardo said authorities hoped that the elections in the region would end without any major incidents.
