Despite unfavorable views of him, Pope Francis could yet be suddenly a mystic with charisms.
Yes, some have taken this perception when the controversial Pope aired recently a harrowing vision of the future, saying he had seen signs of an even darker times coming.
At a Mass durindg the recent feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the Vatican, the Pope, 85, cited a dire vision for the world with “omens of even greater destruction and desolation.”
The Pope said that things are to get worse, despite the current difficult times aready marked by wars, particularly Russia‘s conflict in Ukraine, the rising cost of living, poverty, famine, and an international energy crisis.
Yet it is a world that largely refuses to hear about dire warnings, opting instead to grab on what’s pleasant and pleasurable after two years of Covid 19 pandemic. Most regard warnings from credible Catholic mystics as spoilers of daily lives eyeing better times for selves and loved ones; generally lives already twisted by modernism.
The list of dire events already prophesied by current mystics, particularly those who have remained in good standing with the Catholic Church and remain under the guidance of good priests (believe me, there are plenty of bad ones), is getting longer and longer: a world war, severe winter in the West, eruption of the Yellowstone volcano (which covers three states in the US), schism in the Catholic Church, the rise of the Antichrist, powerful and more frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, a threat from an object from space, famine, rain of fire, the three days of darkness.
These are in the category of chastisements, but there are other major prophecies such as the Warning (also referred to as the Illumination of Conscience) wherein all activities on earth will stop (even aircraft in the skies) as each one, even pagans and atheists, will be given deep view of the condition of their everlasting souls as God sees them. This will be followed by the Great Miracle which, by its nature, will be taken as supernatural. These are extraordinary measures to call mankind to convert. Otherwise would come the most serious forms of chastisements.
So what is to be done right now? The messages from Heaven call for conversion to ease the chastisements which, mystics say, have already become inevitable. For Catholics, such conversion covers going to the Sacrament of Reconciliation and receiving the Eucharist worthily.
After conversion and regardless of dire prophecies, one can live on mostly as usual, minus the errors of the past. To bolster spiritual strength, it would help to recall encouraging messages from the Blessed Mother.
In Medjugorje where the Blessed Mother has been appearing since 1981, she reminded us in 2006 as follows.
“Dear children, My coming to you, my children, is God’s love. God is sending me to warn you and to show you the right way. Do not shut your eyes before the truth, my children. Your time is a short time.
“Do not permit delusions to begin to rule over you. The way in which I desire to lead you is the way of peace and love. This is the way which leads to my Son, your God. Give me your hearts that I may put my Son in them and make my apostles of you – apostles of peace and love....
“I desire to show you the door of Heaven. I desire to tell you how it is opened: Through goodness, mercy, love and peace – through my Son.
“Therefore, my children, do not waste time on vanities. Only knowledge of the love of my Son can save you. I am with you. I am making myself known to you by these comings, by these words; I desire to witness to you my love and motherly care.
“I am with you. I am making myself known to you by these comings, by these words; I desire to witness to you my love and motherly care. My children, do not waste time posing questions to which you never receive an answer.
“At the end of your journey on earth, the Heavenly Father will give them to you. Always know that God knows everything; God sees, God loves. My most beloved Son illuminates lives, dispels darkness; and my motherly love which carries me to you is inexpressible, mysterious but real.” (End of quote.)
Our Blessed Mother was a great consoler in the midst of dire prohecies in her message to visionary Simona on July 14, 2021. She said:
“Here I am, my children; I come to you to bring you peace — peace, my children, the true peace that is Christ the Lord.
“My children, pray, pray: the Holy Rosary is a strong weapon against evil; if recited with faith and love, the Holy Rosary can move mountains and move the heart of God. My children, the Holy Rosary is not an amulet to be carried in your pocket or around your neck: if you do not wear it with faith it is just a simple object like so many others. It is the faith with which it is worn, with which it is used, that makes it a powerful weapon against evil.
“Pray my children, pray for my beloved Church, pray for my beloved and favored sons [priests]: woe to those who scandalize any of my smallest children and do not repent; woe to those who forget their vows, their role as guardians and watchmen of God’s flock. My beloved children, pray for my beloved, favored sons — they are the most tempted by evil. Pray, children, pray.
“My children, do not be afraid: I am with you, I take you by the hand and lead you on the hard path; I guard you, I protect you. My children, do not be discouraged. Hard times await you — all that is happening is only the beginning, but do not be frightened! I tell you this so that you would strengthen yourselves in prayer.
“Turn to our Lord Jesus Christ: He is alive and true in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar and is waiting for you. Bend your knees, my children, and adore Him. Remember, children, there is no sin that if confessed is not forgiven; the Lord is waiting for you with open arms.
“Now I give you my holy blessing. Thank you for having hastened to me.”
