Cervantes: When will the warning be?

SINCE a long, long time ago, there has been much difficulty pegging dates on prophecies. Even in the few years after Jesus Christ’s death on the cross and His resurrection, people thought He was again coming back in their days. So St. Peter was prompted to say: “... with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day?” (2 Peter 3:8).

But recent prophecies seem to have made an about turn. In modern times, supernatural sources are conveying messages of urgency that strongly hint on some timetable. This is especially true in regard to the prophesied Warning, Miracle and Chastisement.

In 1945, Our Lord Jesus said at Heede, Germany, “My beloved children, the hour is near ... The angels of justice are now scattered across the world. I will make Myself known to mankind. Every soul will recognize Me as their God. I am coming! I am at the door...”

And then our Blessed Mother also made a statement of a similar tone when, on July 26, 1964, she told mystic Elizabeth Kindelmann, “The moment is near when my Flame of Love will ignite.”

In past columns, I shared prophecies mostly about the Warning, since it is the first of the three prophecies that, many mystics believe, many if not most of us (especially the younger ones) would (will?) experience. Let me share some more related messages culled from the volumes of materials I have providentially collected over the decades.”

On July 27, 1975, Garabandal, Spain visionary Mari Loli was asked about the Warning, and she replied: “All I can say is that it is very near, and that it is very important that we get ready for it.”

On September 9, 1995, mystic Janie Garza, a stigmatist (she has the crucifixion wounds of Jesus) from Austin Texas asked Our Lord about when the Warning would come and Jesus replied: “Our humble servant, this will happen within a short period. Do not be distracted with dates, but prepare every day with strong prayer. Many who worry about these times will not live to see these things take place. This is why Holy Scripture warns everybody not to be concerned about tomorrow, for tomorrow is promised to no one. The present day has enough trials and crosses. Know that when We speak about such things to come; this is for the people to convert and abandon their evil ways. Every day is an opportunity for souls to convert. People should not wait for such things to come to convert, but they should convert now, before it’s too late!”

Another Garabandal visionary Jacinta said that the Warning would come when the world conditions will be “at their worst” referring to persecutions of Jesus’ followers and many abandoning their religion. She noted that in such condition... “it will be very hard to practice the religion, for priests to say Mass, or for people to open the doors of the churches...whoever practices it will have to go into hiding.”

To Fr. Estefano Gobbi (died June, 2011), the Blessed Mother said on the Feast of the Pentecost on June 4, 1995: “And so, I invite you to spend this day in the cenacle, gathered together in prayer with me, Mother of Mercy, in the hope and trembling expectation of the second Pentecost, now close at hand.”

Also on the Feast of Pentecost in the following year, the Blessed Mother conveyed the following message through Fr. Gobbi: “With an extraordinary cenacle of prayer and fraternity, you celebrate today the solemnity of Pentecost. You recall the prodigious event of the descent of the Holy Spirit, under the form of tongues of fire, upon the cenacle of Jerusalem, where the Apostles were gathered in prayer, with me, your heavenly Mother. You, too, gathered today in prayer, in the spiritual cenacle of my Immaculate Heart, prepare yourselves to receive the prodigious gift of the Second Pentecost. The Second Pentecost will come to bring this humanity, which has again become pagan and which is living under the powerful influence of the evil one, back to its full communion of life with its Lord, Who has created, redeemed, and saved it.”
