Mapilang Alimbawa...

Mabini kamate nang Luna:

“The revolution came to grief because it is poorly led; because its leaders wrested his position not due to merit but through opprobrious acts; because instead of supporting men who were useful to the nation he rendered them useless by his jealousy, believing that the rise in prestige of his people was no more than his own personal aggrandizement. He did not appreciate the merit of men for their ability, character or patriotism but rather by their degree of friendship with fun and anxious to secure the readiness of his favorites, he condoned their failings because he thus neglected the people, the nation forsook him and forsaken by the people, he had to fall like a wax idol melted in the heat of adversity. It is hoped that we will not forget a terrible lesson learned at the expense of untold sufferings.”

Kadwang Alimbawa, Mabini kamate nang Luna king “El Imparcial:

“If Aguinaldo, instead of killing Luna, (allowing Luna to be killed) had helped him with all his power, to say that the revolution would have triumphed, would be presumptuous indeed, but I have not the least doubt that the Americans would have had the highest regard for the valor and the military abilities of the Filipinos, I am sure Otis’ mortal blow would have been parried or at least avoided in time and Mr. Aguinaldo’s unfitness for military command would not had been clearly exposed. Furthermore, to rid himself of Luna, Aguinaldo had no recourse to the very soldiers whom he had punished for breaches of military discipline. By doing this, Aguinaldo destroyed discipline, thereby destroying his own army. With Luna’s fall, his most firm support, the Revolution fell and the ignominy of defeat can be entirely blamed on Mr. Aguinaldo, causing his moral death, a thousand times more bitter than the physical one, Aguinaldo therefore ruined himself, as it is, damned by his own wrong doings. This how Providence pushes the greatest crimes.”

Agpang king migpampang talasulat:

Aguinaldo was a “self-styled President. He was never elected by the majority, or for that matter even by a plurality in the whole revolutionary movement till about Nov. 14, 1897. To revolutionary leaders gave him authority to represent them in the negotiations with the Spaniards, shortly before the Pact of Biak-na-Bato, that Aguinaldo could be considered a legitimate head of the Republic. (Dec.26, 1897)

He knew very much the importance of publicity. When he and his son’s godfather, Daniel Tirona won the skirmish over two guardia civil in Cavite Viejo (Kawit), he immediately sent out corners to announce his triumph to the people of Cavite, Laguna and Batangas.”

Agpang kang Gen. Llanera: King tawling pamitagmu da ri Aguinaldo at Llanera, ing tawli dintang ya kambe da ring dakal nang kawal at nganang sinambita:

“Ba’kung makabitasa a ing milyari kang Luna e malyari kanaku.”

Agpang kaya (Aguinaldo):

“King pamakitalamitan na king talasulat king El Imparcial, bayu ya maglayag papunta Hongkong , inaus ne i Bonifacio anting:”...metung a mabangis a taung pepabaril ku at kambe ning kamatayan na, limbug nya naman ing Katipunan.”

Ding kasukaban na pang Aguinaldo: Agpang kang O.K. Davis:

“Tusu ya’t malaram...“shrewd enough to issue proclamations to his people, telling them that a great North American Nation was coming to the Filipinos their Independence”.

Sumangid niti balu nang ala yang makasulat dikil king pamanyakup ing America.

Ding kasukaban na pang Aguinaldo:

Agpang kang Rene Escalante, (The American Friar Lands Policy): “Before Aguinaldo left for Hongkong on Dec. 26, 1897, Jose Barroso had the chance to interview him. In this interview, Aguinaldo vacillated and betrayed several principles of the Revolution. Aside from pledging loyalty to King Alfonso XIII, he declared that he did not wish for the separation of the Philippines from Spain. He also admitted that he ordered the killing of Andres Bonifacio. Interestingly, Aguinaldo also withdrew the petition for the expulsion of the friars.”

Digdag na pa, kaybat dong simsam kareng pari deng gabun da: “Like many Filipinos, Emilio Aguinaldo wanted to have a share in the allocation of the properties of the friars.

King pamanyamantala na kiung upaya na:“Aguinaldo’s reputation as head of the revolutionary movement and the Asociacion de los Veteranos de la revolucion worked to his advantage when he was negotiating with the Americans. The insular government accommodated his demands to dissuade him from waging another uprising. He was able to get a lease agreement from the laws estate even when he was a resident of Kawit.”

Suglung na pa: “This lease was more than a thousand hectares higher than the prescribed limit! He adds: it was unfortunate that the recognized leader of the Revolution received the biggest lease given to a Filipino. Instead of giving way to tenants, Aguinaldo used his position to leverage in a lion’s share of the friar lands”.

“Instead of helping them, Aguinaldo and others became the tenants’ competitors when the friar lands were redistributed.”

“The members of the Aguinaldo administration and the inquilinos (or lessees) had reason to rejoice because the departure of the friars made them instant landlords. The land that they formerly rented from the friars became theirs.”
