I don't know if it's just me or if there are others who find Alex Gonzaga entertaining through her vlogs. It should be mentioned that Alex is, in fact, one of the trailblazers in YouTube vlogging, and her content started from sharing whatever events or even daily routines they do as a family. I have watched most of her vlogs, and she never fails to give me quite a laugh always. It can be from her "pagiging magaslaw" or her carelessness, the way she talks, how she pranks Mommy Pinty, or at most times, how she annoys people is, I must admit, very amusing to watch.
In fact, how she is an annoyance at first to Senator Loren Legarda, and then eventually she becoming a potential endorser and election campaign mechanism is a phenomenon all on its own. It cannot be denied that Alex Gonzaga, true to what she and her family pronounced, has made a mark of her own, developing her own mark in the industry apart from the shadow of her sister, Toni Gonzaga.
Let's face it, she has a name of her own. She is Alex Gonzaga, not as prim and proper as her older sister. As many of us have seen from watching her vlogs and live TV shows, she is noisy, rowdy, and "walang sinasanto" as we would usually coin it. And for these traits, we find her enjoyable to watch and admittedly, helps us relieve from stress and problems we are experiencing in our lives.
But just as our freedom of expression is not absolute, so does the way we treat other people to whom we relate to in our day-t--day life. The bashing that Alex is receiving now from netizens comes after her 35th birthday celebration vlog, which showed her splashing some choco icing on the server holding the birthday cake. While it will not come as a surprise to those who know Alex is really capable of such raucous behavior, maybe she really went overboard this time. It would have been a different story if the reaction of the server was welcoming, but as I have gauged from the look on his face, he was not successful in masking up his embarrassment and annoyance.
As they say in the showbiz industry, bad publicity is still publicity. But Alex Gonzaga can still have the heart to rise from this incident and prove to us that she can make up for this mishap. After all, we are all humans, and we all mistakes. If we humans ask God for forgiveness for all our wrongdoings, then we must also know how to forgive others. What is important is that we all learn from these unfortunate incidents and take something positive out of them always.
