Pangan: A sincere and dedicated public service

SERBISYONG tapat para sa lahat. With this slogan, Councilor Joseph "PG" Ponce started his political career in 2016.

Now, three years hence, Councilor Joseph has built a niche in local legislation and his following has become broader and multi-sectoral.

His approach is hands-on and down-to-earth, qualities which endeared himself to the mass. Consider the 1,200 patients he supports via injectables for chemo procedure, insulin shots, and for other illnesses.

He has sent several individuals through Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and sustains six college scholars.

From an obscure, bodega-like office, he churns out effective and relevant ordinances to keep and maintain peace and order. If reelected, he wants to chair the Committee on Peace and Order so that the Angeles City will have more peaceful and orderly existence.

Like his idol, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Joseph has vowed to help get rid the city of criminals and corrupt officials.

He has proven his worth in getting rid the city of corruption in his efforts at Fields Avenue, a rich source of ill-gotten income from bar owners and operators by corrupt officials.

For the next three years as Councilor, Joseph envisions a stronger drive to alleviate poverty, lesser criminality and zero corruption. Shades of

President Duterte, indeed.

He also looks at improving the transportation sector and keeps an alert eye towards improving the living standards of drivers.

Joseph is presently content of the small office he has been assigned, but he wishes to have a bigger space to accommodate his callers and various patients.

Salute to a great man, Henry Sy, Jr. From very humble beginnings, he parlayed his modest shoe store business into one of the world's biggest and profitable empires which employs a large number of Filipinos.

Amassing huge wealth from his various enterprises, Mr. Sy, Sr. shared it with the less fortunate through his charities and scholarships which benefitted thousands of marginalized persons.

Such is the greatness and compassion of this great man who was affectionately called Tatang. He once said: In good times, I work hard.

In bad, I work harder!

In life, as in death, Henry Sr., was so blessed with a kind and compassionate heart. Fare thee well, sir.
