UNDER the proactive leadership of Mayor Romuo F. Pecson, Magalang, a first-class agricultural town, is making strides towards economic growth and progress.
Already,farm-to-market roads have been built to help farmers of this town to carry their produce to the centers of commerce and trade in the town proper.
The latest infrastructure project of Mayor Pecson et al (which includes Administrator Lyndon Cunanan) is the Arayat-Magalang-Concepcion road which will usher in productive connections between the two adjacent towns of Magalang, namely: Arayat to its east side and Concepcion on the northeastern portion.
Arayat, site of the inactive Mt. Arayat, shares common development projects with its neighbour, Magalang while Concepcion (in Tarlac) is a progressive area and most of its traders and residents find Magalang a very suitable place to invest and live in.
Magalang hosts the Pampanga State Agricultural College, a regional training center of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Central Luzon Drug Rehabilitation Center and various hospitals and medical centers.
Mayor Pecson, who will be running for his second term, has more projects and development plans for Magalang and he hopes he gets his constituents’ nod to get a second term as mayor.

Rektang Bayanihan. In relation to Police Regional Office-Central Luzon Priority Programs, about 11 a.m. of January 27, 2021, personnel of Pampanga 2nd Police Mobile Force Company led by Police Lieutenant Dennis J. Dela Cruz, team leader, under the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Paul Ynigo Gamido, force commander, conducted a distribution of food packs to the members of Bantay Bayan of Barngay Gulap, Candaba, Pampanga, in support of the program of the PNP, particularly the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, which aims to win the hearts and minds of the community.
