Pangan: Relevant activities of Fiesta HOA

FROM their victory and induction last February 2019, the new board of directors of the Fiesta Communities Tabun Mabalacat City Homeowners Association, Inc., has embarked on many activities and events as they promised at the start of their term: a mini beauty tilt, sports fest, acquisition and installation of CCTVs and updating of accounts, garbage collection, etc.

The 13 new directors all have been assigned their committees in the service of homeowners: Kaye Rosel Hernandez, president; Rodolfo Monis, vice president; Aidez dela Cruz, secretary; Marydoll Corilla, treasurer,

Angie Isais, Auditor and the rest of the Board of Directors: this writer,

Alfredo Ramos, Jess del Rosario, Dennis dela Cruz, Juliet Donato, Jenny

Gulayan and Jennie Rose Dalisay.

The proceeds of the sports fest and the beauty contest were all allocated to the necessary program expenses and projects while payments for the stickers were partnered with the purchase of CCTV cameras to ensure the safety and security of the premises of Fiesta communities.

The cash for basura project was also a well-thought of project to turn plastic bottles and other refuse into cash which could be spent for worthwhile activities of the HOA.

The present leadership of HOA led by Rozel always makes it a point to communicate with the general membership of homeowners, either through social media, public announcements or house-to-house contact. This way, says Rozel, we could address their problems and other concerns directly and swiftly.

It could be noted that for only five months since February, the new BODs of Fiesta HOA have accomplished so much and more plans are set up for the coming months. True, there would be other problems like security breach (on walls fencing Fiesta, e.g.) but these will be promptly solved through the BOD resolutions and actions.

Meetings (regular and emergency) are being held by the HOA which is in constant coordination with HEMI or Hausland Estate Management, Inc., and HLURB or Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board which give periodic advices to the HOA officers.

Kaye Rozel, the president of HOA, is in constant touch with HEMI and HLURB on every problem needing the latter's action. She is always on the go as far as HOA matters are concerned and devotes a big chunk of her working hours to HOA's concerns.

The new Board of Directors inherited a lot of problems from the old BOD like the payment of some 40k representing audit fees to an accountant from Manila who was engaged by the said old BOD but which is passed to the new BOD which forthwith consulted the general membership.

Cityhood celebration. The seven winning years of Mabalacat City were observed July 23 with a lively program held at the grounds of the Lady of Grace Parish in Barangay Poblacion. Mayor Garbo and other officials were there to preside. The employees and barangay officials participated and after the program walked from the church to the city site at Xevera, Tabun.

It may be recalled that a plebiscite on July 21, 2012 was held to ratify RA 10164 converting Mabalacat town into Mabalacat City. It was successful and thus was born Mabalacat City. The technical working core group which burned the midnight oil was composed of the late accountant Ted David, Rosan Paquia and Benjie Pangan. They spent long hours preparing the documents and paperwork for submission to the Senate of the Philippines where then Senator Bongbong Marcos headed the committee hearing the conversion case.

Prior to this, it was then Board Member Crisostomo Garbo who favorably endorsed the resolution of then Sanggunian Bayan of Mabalacat to the Senate without which the efforts would not have pushed through. This vital endorsement by BM Garbo was instrumental in the conversion case.
