P1.7M shabu seized in Central Luzon

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Police Regional Office III seized P1,741,360 worth of shabu in numerous operations in Central Luzon over the weekend.

In Balanga City, the PDEA and Balanga City Police nabbed siblings Aying, 48; Rara, 37; Roly, 33; and Ali, 29; and their cohorts Ann and Ron-Ron.

The authorities seized from the group 110 grams of shabu worth P748,000 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cataning on Sunday, May 18.

On Saturday (May 17), the agency and PNP Provincial Intelligence Team of Bulacan East Unit and the Bulacan provincial police arrested Ampoy, 24; Negra, 50; and Tom, 18, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Minuyan.

The cops confiscated from the group 20 grams of suspected shabu worth P136,000, assorted sniffing and paraphernalia, one Android phone, and buy-bust money used in the operation.

In Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, a buy-bust operation was conducted by the city police. "Orly," 43, was arrested in Barangay Father Chrysostom following this operation.

Some 70.20 grams of shabu worth P377,360 was seized from the suspect.

On Monday (May 19), the Samal police and other units arrested "Harry," an alleged high-value individual, in an operation in Barangay Gugo

This resulted in the confiscation of 56 grams of shabu worth P380,800, a .38 caliber revolver with four bullets, and P1,000 marked money.

The arrested persons face charges in court for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
