P6.8-M worth shabu seized in Arayat town

Seven individuals were arrested and more than P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu was seized by authorities in Arayat town on Saturday, April 5.

Policemen arrested "Ramil," 48, an alleged high-value drug suspect, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mapalad.

Authorities confiscated from the suspect one kilogram of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P6.8 million and the P5,000 marked money.

Police added that an investigation is being conducted to determine the suspect's possible involvement in bigger drug syndicates operating in Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pampanga Provincial Office, arrested six individuals tagged as "high-value-targets" during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lourdes, Lubao town on Sunday, April 6.

PDEA agents identified the suspects as Rick, 45; Son, 41; Jack, 34; Tin,18; Rey, 18; and Ai-Ai, 38.

The agency recovered four sachets containing 10 grams of shabu valued at P68,000; assorted drug paraphernalia; and the buy-bust money used during the operation.

The PDEA Region 3 Special Enforcement Team, PDEA Aurora, and Philippine National Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit assisted in the operation.
