Pampanga police vow to remain non-partisan

As the 2025 National and Local Elections approach, the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) assured the public that it will remain neutral and non-partisan throughout the poll period.

Philippine National Police PNP Chief, General Rommel Marbil and Police Regional Office Region 3 (PRO 3) director Brigadier General Jean Fajardo reminded police personnel to stay "fair and professional" to protect the integrity of the elections.

“The Pampanga PPO will remain apolitical and non-partisan. We serve the Filipino people—not politicians. We are duty-bound to enforce the law and protect the democratic process with integrity, fairness, and without favor,” said Dimaandal.

With over 1,700 police officers under his command, Dimaandal said it’s important "that people feel safe and confident in the presence of police during the elections."

He added that officers will be deployed to polling centers, checkpoints, and other areas to maintain peace and order and not to influence voters.

All personnel have been briefed on the importance of staying neutral, Dimaandal added.

The police official said that any support, endorsement, or even signs of favoritism toward any candidate are not allowed and will lead to punishment under PNP rules and the law.

Aside from staying neutral, Pampanga policemen are also focused on tightening security to keep polling places, voters, and election materials safe, according to Dimaandal.

The Pampanga PPO said it continues to work with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and other agencies to ensure peaceful elections across the province.

Dimaandal asks for public cooperation and unity, stressing that "the success of the 2025 elections depends not only on law enforcement but also on the vigilance and active participation of every citizen."
