The Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) on Tuesday, March 31 launched its “Bisikleta Patrol” initiative in time for Holy Week observance.

The event was led by Colonel Eugene M. Marcelo, director of Pampanga PPO.

The program is part of the provincial police's initiative to enhance police visibility and community engagement.

Marcelo said the bike patrol project is expected to improve access to smaller communities that are difficult to reach by patrol cars and motorcycles.

He added that the initiative also promotes unity and discipline among police personnel.

“This is part of the Philippine National Police’s continuing efforts to adopt innovative policing strategies while promoting health, wellness, and environmental awareness among its personnel,” Marcelo said.

Marcelo, together with other police officials in the province, conducted a ceremonial bike ride from the PPO headquarters to the San Fernando Cathedral following the event.
