The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized a total of P306 million worth of suspected shabu in two separate operations in Nueva Ecija and Bulacan.
The agency reported that some P102,000 worth of shabu were confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Kalikid Sur, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija on Thursday, May 15.
Arrested in the operation were Rey, 59; Gara, female, 39; and Juan 24.
Seized from the three were the same shabu places in 10 sachets weighing 15 grams, assorted drug paraphernalia, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money used by PDEA agents.
In Bulacan, the agency seized 30 kilograms of shabu worth P204-million in a buy-bust operation inside Payogi Leisure Hub along Old Barrio Road in Barangay Minuyan, Norzagaray, Bulacan, also on Thursday, May 15.
The agency identified the suspects as Jessie, 44, from Cavite; Kristina, 36, of Quezon City; and JB, 21, also a resident of Cavite.
PDEA operatives found the illegal drugs inside vacuum-sealed plastic bags after the suspects sold two kilograms of shabu worth P13.6-million to a police agent.
The suspects face charges in court for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
The operations were carried out by PDEA in coordination with local police in the two areas.
