

Magalang Mayor Malu Lacson said she has asked the managements of PELCO 1 and PELCO 2 to suspend the disconnection of power services of consumers with unpaid electric bills for a period of 60 days.
The mayor said she initiated the move as the entire province of Pampanga was placed under a state of calamity.
Lacson said thousands of Kapampangans were affected by the three typhoons and flooding.

Lacson said she also asked the two electric cooperative substation offices to implement a "flexible payment arrangement program that would allow affected customers to settle their obligations through manageable installment plans."
The local chief executive also asked for PELCO 1 and PELCO 2 to prioritize reconnection services for previously disconnected households, particularly those with senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and families with young children.
