Plan for Bagong Pilipinas: I think I heard the same before

Plan for Bagong Pilipinas: I think I heard the same before

FOR every new administrati8on, a new plan comes up supposedly to improve the country’s

Standar of living, economy, etc.

Now comes this plan under President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., to allegedly improve rendition of government service, alleviate poverty and provide better living standards for all Filipinos.

Reportedly, the idea was hatched as early as more than six months ago by Memorandum Order No. 24 dated July 23, 2023 calling for a deep and fundamental transformation in all sectors of society and government and foster the state’s commitment of comprehensive policy reforms and full economic recovery.

This memorandum order paved the way for the massive kick off ceremony last Sunday, January 28, 2024 which cost millions of the people’s money and participated in by individuals brought in by the hakot system and correspondingly paid sums of money.

Indeed, the son BBM is a clone of his late father the dictator former President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos who, in his lifetime, had a penchant for making up slogans and setting up organizations like the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan which promised better life for Filipinos but turned out to be a boo boo of a plan!

Now the son BBM is trying to outdo his namesake and father by coming up with ambitious albeit not doable plans and programs. Remember he promised to peg the rice price at P20 per kilo and look what happened. Prices of rice even soared to P65 per kilo! Outrageous!

Worse, we see a falling out in the Marcos-Duterte alliance with former President Duterte showing his hatred towards BBM and involving him in drug trade. What?

Even Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte is now calling for thge resignation of PBBM because the latter showed aversion towards his sister Sara.

Now the plot thickens with this campaign to reform/change the Constitution in the background.

The big question is: would the change pave the way for PBBM’s extension in officeHorro, it becomes infuriating!
