The Police Regional Office III (PRO-3) has deployed more than 2,000 night patrollers across Central Luzon for public safety and crime prevention.

Brigadier General Jean S. Fajardo, PRO-3 director, said the deployment of policemen at night is part of Philippine National Police (PNP) campaign to maintain peace and order in support of national security goals.

The patrollers were dispatched starting May 28 to urban centers, provincial capitals, commercial districts, transport terminals, and other densely populated areas.

The night patrollers are composed of personnel from the maneuver forces of Police Provincial Offices and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion.

Fajardo said the patrol teams are tasked to monitor nighttime illegal activities in public spaces.

She added that PRO-3 is utilizing "updated crime mapping, time-based incident analysis, and predictive policing tools to guide operational decisions."
