The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said it has activated the Media Action Center (MAC) to "ensure orderly, safe, and fair elections in the region."
This is part of the preparations for the upcoming 2025 National and Local Elections on May 12, 2025
PRO 3 director Brigadier General Jean S. Fajardo, led the opening of the Media Action Center.
The PRO 3 said the opening of the center is in relation with the goal of Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to "strengthen the democratic process and maintain peace and order in Central Luzon."
“The opening of the PRO3 Media Action Center is a clear testament to our tireless dedication to maintaining peace and order while ensuring transparency and open communication between the police and the public, especially during this election season,” Fajardo said.
The PRO3 said the Media Action Center will serve as a central information hub for members of the media and the public who wish to obtain official information, ask questions, or report incidents related to the elections.
The media center is expected "to expedite the flow of correct, timely, and accurate information from the ranks of the police."
The provincial and city police offices under PRO3 also activated their respective Media Action Centers.
These are led by designated personnel who will be on duty 24/7 to receive questions, complaints, and reports from the public and the media, the PRO 3 said.
The regional police office assured that the public and the media are its partners in ensuring peaceful and orderly elections throughout Central Luzon.
