The local government and police of Apalit have issued a warning to motorcycle riders involved in illegal street racing on public roads.

Mayor Oscar “Jun” Tetangco called out riders who were seen in social media posts racing and performing stunts without helmets along the Apalit Bypass Road in Barangay Balucuc.

“Tama ba ginagawa ng mga ito? Kapag naaksidente, sino ang sinisisi? Apalit and Pampanga police, pakisigurado na mapatawan ng karampatan parusa ang mga ito,” said Tetangco.

The video, which was uploaded on Facebook, garnered hundreds of reactions and comments before it was taken down.

Lieutenant Colonel German Pascua, the town’s chief of police, said they have intensified the monitoring of motorists violating traffic and safety regulations, including those using modified mufflers.

He said the local police are committed to ensure the maintenance of peace and order in town.

"Magmaneho nang may disiplina at malasakit. Dahil ang tunay na astig, hindi reckless, kundi responsable. Sundin ang batas-trapiko at igalang ang mga pedestrian at kapwa motorista,” Pascua said.
