After his confirmation, one of ABS-CBN's leading actors Sam Milby explained the reason of his break up with former Miss Universe Catriona Gray.
"It's been rough. No break up is easy. It's really been rough. It wasn't only magboyfriend-girlfriend kami, we were engaged. And to have that not pushed through, its been really rough, honestly.
Sam didn't expect that he would get too emotional when he guested in Boy Abunda's "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda".
It was his first time to visit the grounds of GMA-7.
Aside, of course from Catriona, Sam was romantically linked to Anne Curtis and model-tv host Marie Jasmine, while he had a mutual understanding with Toni Gonzaga.
Sam answered the question about the break ups.
"Not well, I think every break up is a different situation. Kung ikaw ang nasaktan o kung ikaw yung dahilan nung break up, so it depends on the situation. But I think any break up is not easy."
When asked if how did it affect him and how did he handle the break up, Sam took a deep breath, and explained.
"It was a fairytale relationship in so far as we were concerned. The queen had found a prince and they were engaged. One morning, we woke up to find out that the engagement had been broken. We were distraught. It's hard to talk about yung break up namin. It's something I didn't wanna talk about. When I did an interview, which everyone knows about, and it was mainly to clear yung issue".
Sam was referring to the speculations that came out regarding their break up, which involves singer Moira Dela Torre as the third party involved.
"People wanna connect so many things and believe so many things na walang katotohanan. And I felt the need to clear yung issue na there was no third party, and yung sinasabi na si Moira yung third party. I wanted to make that clear, but it's something I actually didn't wanna talk about. Sa amin ni Cat, we've always been private about our relationship."
Sam did not give details on the real reason behind their separation. And he stood by his words.
"And like I said, I really don't wanna talk about any details about the relationship. But like I said, there was never any third party. Yung sinasabi ng ibang tao na si Moira yung third party, as in walang katotohanan. You can believe what you want, you can say what you want, but everyone knows, in this situation, there's no truth to that."
"And I think it's better to be honest about it. I don't want..it's hard sometimes to talk about it, but if people think it has.....
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry. I am not an emotional person and it was...I don't want to go into details and I would..The more you talk about any issue, mas maraming bala yung mga tao to use against you, and I don't wanna give..There's no point, like, I have so much love and respect on both sides, I wanna believe, but it hasn't been easy at all."
