Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda called on local officials to lead with purpose, unity, and compassion.

Pineda issued the statement during the L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Ethics, Accountability and Development) Program held at Kingborough International Convention Center on Tuesday.

The program, led by the Provincial Government and DILG, aims to strengthen ethical leadership and governance among local leaders.

“Leadership is a responsibility, not a position. Serve with compassion, not for personal gain,” Pineda said.

She also called for unity beyond political lines.

DILG Undersecretary Marlo Iringan praised the governor and reminded officials to stay grounded and responsive to public needs.

Topics discussed during the event included ethical governance, anti-drug campaigns, environmental legislation, and local legislative duties.
