Pampanga Third District Representative Mica Gonzales and Board Member MyMy Mercado Gonzales recently distributed DSWD Family Food Packs to flood-affected residents in nine villages in Mexico town.
The beneficiaries mostly came from Barangay San Pablo, Santo Domingo, Santa Maria, San Roque, Laug, Dolores Piring, San Nicolas, San Lorenzo, and San Antonio.
Congresswoman Mica and BM Mymy also distributed family food packs to some 170 affected families in the City of San Fernando.
The beneficiaries are from Barangays San Pedro, San Juan, San Jose, and Nicolas.
In Bacolor, the two officials distributed family food packs to some 2,037 families from Barangays San Vicente, Cabalantian, Talba, Tinajero, and Cabetican.
The affected residents are temporarily housed at the Bacolor Integrated School Tinajero, and the Bacolor Mini Convention.
Cong. Mica and BM Mymy vowed to continue assisting families affected by the recent monsoon rains.
“Ngayong araw, personal nating dinala ang malawakang relief operations sa Bayan ng Mexico at Lungsod ng San Fernando at Bacolor. Sinuong natin ang baha upang masigurong agarang makarating ang tulong sa mga nangangailangan nating mga ka-destrito (kababayan),” Cong. Mica said.
“Hindi lamang ito simpleng tungkulin; kasama niyo ako at sabay nating haharapin ang bawat pagsubok. Higit sa salita, gawa ang ating layunin. MICApartner po kayo sa bawat yugto ng ating pagbangon,” she added.
The lawmaker thanked the DSWD for the delivery of relief goods to her constituents in the third district of Pampanga.
The official said she and her mother (BM Mymy) will also be visiting the towns of Sta. Ana and Arayat this week.
“Lubos po ang aking pasasalamat—kasama ang buong Ikatlong Distrito ng Pampanga—sa pamunuan ng DSWD para sa agarang pagpapaabot ng relief goods sa ating mga ka distrito. Asahan niyo po ang aming patuloy na pag-ikot sa iba pang bahagi ng ating distrito upang siguraduhing makararating ang tulong sa bawat pamilyang nangangailangan, manatili po tayong ligtas at mag-ingat,” she ended.
