The provincial government of Pampanga provided assistance to 954 tuberculosis (TB) patients from the province's second district.
The distribution program was held on Wednesday, August 5, at the Lubao Gym.
The Capitol said Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda personally met with the beneficiaries and checked on their condition during the activity.
Among those assisted was a resident of Porac, who said she received ?3,000 for her husband. The recipient said her spouse was diagnosed with TB and the cash given will help cover the cost of his medications.
In addition to the cash assistance, the beneficiaries also received maintenance medicines from the provincial government and rice under the program of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
