Have you manifested something that eventually turned into reality? I can say that I am blessed enough to claim that what I manifested has come true. According to psychologytoday.com, "manifesting is the idea that, through the power of belief, we can effectively 'think' a goal into becoming reality. It's a form of 'magical thinking,' or the need to believe that one's hopes and desires can have an effect on how the world turns."
I manifested three things last year, and all of these so-called manifestations are now in our grasp. While manifesting, I also persistently prayed for God's providence because I believe that everything that happens in our lives is carved out of the will and way of the Almighty God. At the end of the day, I know that whatever success or accomplishment I can do, is a blessing from the Lord.
When I was still teaching at a state university, I remember hearing the words of Architect Aldrin Liangco, the Top 6 Board Topnotcher in the January 2013 Architecture Licensure Examinations, saying this statement: "Your mind is like a magnet. It attracts whatever you have in it." True enough for him, this was the motto he kept in his mind and heart while he was preparing for the licensure exams. He said that he only had to think positively, and that passing the board exams. More than passing the said exams, he was recognized as one of the topnotchers.
In my previous column, I tackled the power of thinking positively and how it can maintain our positive and happy outlook in life. On the other hand, manifesting is a deeper form of positive thinking since the former incorporates the power of framing the mind as well as the power to stay strong in faith and prayer. It also comes with the power of gratitude and the will to pay forward when the things you hope eventually are given to you at the perfect time.
However, when we manifest, we also must surrender ourselves to the will and way of the Lord the Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus perfectly captures our disposition whenever we ask and pray for something:
"O Sacred Heart, whatever may be your decision with regard to my request, I will never stop adoring, loving, praising, and serving you. My Lord Jesus, be pleased to accept this my act of perfect resignation to the decrees of your adorable Heart which I sincerely desire may be fulfilled by me and all your creatures forever."
Truly, I thank the Lord for all the opportunities and blessings He has showered me and my family. These granted prayers will serve as the reminder and the motivation to keep doing what is pleasing to the Lord, loving all our neighbors, and never losing hope and faith in Him who makes all things possible. God is good all the time, and all the time, God is so good to all of us!
