
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided cash assistance to 800 Kapampangan women through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program in line with the celebration of International Women’s Month, on Monday, March 10.
The beneficiaries included some Violence Against Women and Children officers, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and cancer patients who were identified through the help of the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and 2nd District Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo personally met with the beneficiaries at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.
Pineda personally assured the women that the provincial government has an extensive array of medical support programs to help them and their families with their medical needs.
Each beneficiary received ?3,000 as well as food packs and hygiene kits from the provincial government.
Pineda also urged the families of the beneficiaries to avail of the medical services under the Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program.
Board Members Fritzie David-Dizon, Sajid Khan Eusoof, Atty. Claire Lim, Cherry Manalo, and Paul Balingit also met with the beneficiaries.
