Some 35 youth leaders from local government units around Clark Freeport will take part in the three-day seminar organized by Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), in partnership with Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and the Metro Clark Advisory Council.

“It takes a community to build resilience," CDC President Agnes Devanadera said during the opening of Camp HARAYA on Wednesday, June 25, at the PDRF Emergency Operations Center inside the Freeport.

Camp HARAYA (Harnessing Advocacy and Resilience for the Advancement of Youth in Action) focuses on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA).

The activity is expected to equip young leaders with the knowledge and skills that contribute to resilient, climate-smart communities.

Sponsored by Give2Asia, a nonprofit international organization, the program features hands-on learning, field visits, and interactive sessions designed to strengthen local disaster preparedness and climate action.

Also present in the event were PDRF leaders, staff, and volunteers, led by President Rene Meily and Executive Director Veronica Gabaldon.
