56 ka tunghaan sa CV apil sa pilot run alang sa bag-ong SHS currriculum

Sobra sa 55 ka mga tulonghaan sa tibuok Central Visayas ang napili nga pilot implementation sa giusab nga Senior High School (SHS) curriculum sa Department of Education (DepEd) nga sugdan sa pagbukas sa umaabot nga school year 2025–2026.

“Actually for Central Visayas, there are around 125 who signified their interest to be part of the pilot, but those who complied early, kay naa man guy cut-off, mao ra gyud to ang naapil,” matod ni Jimenez.

Ang gibilin nga mga subject mahimo na lang pilian nga maghatag sa mga tinun-an ug kahigayunan nga mosubay sa ilang kagustohan ug sa ilang future career plans.

Matod ni Jimenez nga duna gyuy 125 ka mga tunghaan sa Central Visyas ang nipadayag og interes apan kadto lang nakatuman sa gilatid nga requirements sa DepEd ang gipili nga pilot run.

Sa tibuok nasod, 841 ka mga tunghaan ang moapil sa pilot nga langkuban sa 580 sa public ug 261 ka private institutions, sumala sa report sa GMA.

“Based on study, the curriculum in senior high school is too congested that there’s no more room for work immersion,” matod ni Jimenez.

Base sa pamahayag sa mga kompaniya, kini nga limitado nga oras dili igo sa mga graduate aron makakita og kasudlan nga trabaho.

“So they told us nga after graduation, this would not be enough for our learners to land a job,” dugang niya.

Gitumbok ni Jimenez nga kining bag-ong struktura motugot sa mga tinun-an pagpadayon sa academic tracks aron makakuha og National Certificates (NCs) pinaagi sa Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (Tech-Voc) electives.

Ang mga elective mga optional courses gawas sa nag-unang curriculum nga makapili ang mga estudyante sa gusto nilang kuhaon nga maghatag nila og kahigayunan paghashas sa nagkalainlaing mga subject ug interest.

Ang assessments ning maong mga sertipiko dumalahon sa pagpakig-partner sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) nga way bayran ang mga estudyante.

“At the end of senior high school, naa siyay certificate. And one good thing is that because of the close coordination between Tesda and DepEd, the assessment for NC is free,” matod ni Jimenez.

Kini maghatag og kasegurohan nga ang mga mo-graduate makadawat og high school diploma ug Tesda-recognized certificate, makapataas sa oportunidad aron makatrabaho dayon. Ang pilot run gitumong sa pagsukod sa kaepiktibo sa kausaban sa curriculum sa dili pa ang mas lapad nga pagpatuman. / CDF
