PALO, Leyte – Moabot sa pito ka mga lungsod sa Ley-te ang opisyal nga gi-deklarar nga hingpit nang wala'y hulga sa New People's Army (NPA) niadtong Biyernes, sa usa ka seremonyas nga gitambongan sa mga opisyal sa lokal nga gobyerno ug sa Philippine Army.
Matod ni Palo Mayor Remedios Petilla, presidente sa League of Municipalities - Leyte chapter, ang tanang lungsod sa unang distrito sa kongreso sa probinsya nagtutok sa seguridad sa mga komunidad hinungdan nga gideklarar ang Stable Internal Peace and Security Condition (SIPSC).
“We are proud of this achievement, and we are looking forward to sustaining peace in our villages. We hope that all towns in Leyte will be declared as stable and secure soon,” asoy ni Petilla.

“The declaration of SIPSC in the 1st District of Leyte will raise the confidence of investors since Leyte was perceived in the past as influenced by NPA. The peaceful status is a collective effort of their local leaders to maintain peace in the area that the people have been enjoying for years,” asoy ni Brig. Gen.
