Gikonsiderar sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) nga himuong automated ang Disyembre 2025 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) human sa malampusong automation sa Mayo 12 national ug local elections.
Sa usa ka interbyu, nanawagan si Comelec Chairman George Garcia alang sa automation sa BSKE ug iyang gitumbok ang mga benepisyo nga napahimuslan sa niaging midterm elections.
"If we automate the BSKE, the results will come in faster. There won't be violence, ballot snatching, threat, intimidation, or killings. There will be fewer issues if the process is faster," matod ni Garcia.
Iyang namatikdan nga ang BSKE wala magkinahanglan og transmission tungod kay ang canvassing mahitabo sa mga voting center.
"The canvassing and the proclamation are held within the barangay so we don't need to have transmission," pasabot ni Garcia.
Unang gisuwayan sa Comelec ang automated BSKE niadtong Oktubre 2023 nga nahitabo sa duha ka barangay (Barangays Zone II Poblacion ug Paliparan III) sa Dasmariñas City, Cavite, ug sa usa ka barangay (Barangay Pasong Tamo) sa 6th District sa Quezon City.
"It was very successful as the proclamation happened so fast. We really saw the difference between the two (manual and automated) systems," batbat ni Garcia.
Hinuon giangkon ni Garcia nga ang automation nagkinahanglan og dugang pundo kumpara sa manual nga eleksyon.
"Of course, it is more economical if we go manual instead of automated," asoy ni Garcia.
