Gihinganlan sa Department of Health (DOH) ang anti-smoking advocacy award niini isip “Red Orchid Award” isip simbolo sa pakigbatok sa dili maayong epekto sa tabako ug pag-ila sa mga paningkamot sa local government units ug lain-laing ahensya sa gobyerno nga nagpasiugda sa 100 porsyento nga smoke-free environment.
Si Dr. Ahsan Paudac, MOH-Barmm NCD Cluster head, miingon sa usa ka pahayag Biyernes, Pebrero 3, nga ang Red Orchid Award usa sa mga estratehiya aron makab-ot ang usa ka smoke-free nga palibot taliwala sa lain-laing lebel sa administratibo sa rehiyon.
“I would like to congratulate the awardees and thank you for your commitment to providing and maintaining a healthy environment [for the Bangsamoro],” matod ni Paudac.
Ang awardees sa Red Orchid midawat og mga certificate of recognition, trophies ug cash incentives.
Ang Hall of Fame awardees alang sa 2022 nakadawat og P50,000 matag usa, samtang ang first-time awardees alang sa 2021, nakadawat og P25,000 matag usa.
Si Paudac miingon nga ang mga mananaog gihukman base sa kusog sa komprehensibong paningkamot sa pagpatuman sa 100 porsyento nga smoke-free nga palibot gamit ang World Health Organization (WHO) MPower initiative.
Ang awardees naglakip sa: Datu Odin Sinsuat District Hospital sa Maguindanao del Norte ug ang 12th Forward Service Support Unit sa Army Support Command alang sa Red Orchid First Timer Award (2021).
Ang laing siyam ka awardees, nga nakadawat sa Red Orchid Award Hall of Fame 2022, naglakip sa Bureau of Jail Management and Penology-Barmm, Cotabato City Jail, Upi Municipal Jail, ug Parang District Jail pareho sa Maguindanao del Norte, Wao Municipal Jail ug Malabang District Jail sa Lanao del Sur, Lamitan City Jail sa Basilan, Jolo District Jail sa Sulu, ug Bongao District Jail sa Tawi-Tawi.
