SUGDAN na sunod buwan ang pag operate sa bag-o ug pinaka moderno nga coronavirus disease (Covid19) testing laboratory sa Ormoc City.
Karong adlawa, nagpirmahay og Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) ang kagamhanan sa Ormoc, Ospa-FMC ug Energy Development Corporation (EDC) para sa pag establisar og molecular testing laboratory.
Ang state-of-the-art nga molecular laboratory ibutang sa Ospa-Farmers Medical Center (FMC).
Ang maong laboratory magamit sa pag-test sa mga swab samples sa mga gisuspetsahan nga dunay Covid-19.
Ang Ormoc ang labing una nga syudad sa Eastern Visayas nga dunay kaugalingon nga Covid-19 Testing Center.
Base sa MOA, ang lokal nga kagamhanan sa Ormoc ang mohatag og technical support sa pagbutang sa laboratory.
Lakip na ang pag-provide og fixtures, furniture, facilities ug ang pagpahigayon og unannounced monitoring visit kung nasunod ba ang protocols sa Department of Health (DOH).
Ang LGU mitugot usab sa Ospa sa pagpangayo og resonableng bayad sa mga pasyente alang sa RT-PCR machine para sa operating and maintenance costs.
Ang LGU usab ang motabang sa pag-train sa mga personnel sa operation sa RT-PCR machine.
"More than 300 swabbings per day ang kaya. Even outside the region, Ospa can take samples from other areas," matod ni Mayor Richard Gomez.
Matod sa mayor, mas mapadali na usab ang paggawas sa resulta kumpara kaniadto nga dad-on pa sa Cebu nga mo abot pa og pila ka adlaw sa una pa ang resulta.
Ang EDC ang mi-donate sa balor P25,000,000 nag machine alang sa Ormoc nga ibutang sa Ospa.
"This laboratory is not only RT-PCR but this is a molecular laboratory. So far, this is the most expensive equipment. Without tax, this is around P3.1 million. Right now, base on the estimate, the total amount will be around P25 million," matod ni Erwin Magallanes, CSR head sa EDC.
Nagpasalamat si Gomez sa EDC ug Ospa sa katukoran sa bag-o ug moderno nga testing center sa Ormoc kay dako kaayo ni og tabang sa giatubang nga problema sa Covid-19.
"This is called participative governance. It is very seldom that you see corporations, people and community, the local government unit, professionals and even the national government working together in harmony," matod ni Gomez.
Matod ni Richard Tantoco, presidente ug chief operating officer sa EDC, gusto nila nga mahatagan og pagtagad ang kakuwang og testing center sa Eastern Visayas, hinungdan nga naka desisyon sila nga tabangan ang Ormoc sa pagbutang og testing center.
"Just a brief word about partnership, we the Lopez group are working hand in hand with government at various levels to be of assistance at this moment in time. Because we believe a true partner come to you to offer help even before you ask and even if there is zero media. True partner comes to you because they're just thinking about you," matod ni Tantoco.
Nakita usab ni Tantoco ang maayong pamalakad sa Ormoc sa pagresponde sa krisis sa Covid-19.
"Two weeks ago, we run a pulse survey in EDC. We have 444 employees living in Ormoc and 99 percent of them said that they felt safe to be in Ormoc City because the LGU is watching out for the welfare of the Ormocanons. This is an outstanding rating for any LGU but most especially during the time of crisis," matod ni Tantoco.
Sa iyang bahin si Secretary Vince Dizon, chief implementer sa National IATF action plan against Covid-19, nisiguro nga mapadali ang pag-accredit sa Ormoc City Molecular Laboratory.
"Together with Secretary Galvez and Secretary Duque, we commit to really accredit this facility very very quickly in record time," matod ni Dizon.
Nagpasalamat usab si Dizon kang Gomez sa padayon pagtrabaho uban sa IATF.
"We really commend and praise Mayor Richard or all his work and his proactiveness. Napaka kritikal po ng actions ng local chief executives dito sa paglaban ng Covid-19. Hindi po kaya ito ng national government. Hindi po kaya ito ng IATF," matod ni Dizon.
Para sa Ospa, dako nga hagit sa ila ang pag operate sa testing center apan dako ilang kalipay sa pagsalig nga gihatag sa EDC ug LGU-Ormoc.
"This is actually a new challenge for Ospa. This is an entirely new field of service for us. We are happy that we were entrusted by both EDC and the City of Ormoc with this equipment and we are happy that they trust us and the trust that they reposed upon us will be equally reciprocated and we commit to help the city, not just the city but rest of the government as well," matod ni Atty. Roy Bernard Fiel, vice president sa Ospa-FMC.
