Ang Anti-Cyber Crime Group (ACG) sa Philippine National Police nakakab-ot sa mahinungdanong milestones sa pagsulbad sa nagkataas nga bul-og sa cybercrimes.
Uban sa usa ka record-breaking nga gidaghanon sa mga kaso nga giimbestigahan, usa ka pagbag-o sa cybercrime trend, ug usa ka proactive nga pamaagi sa pagsumpo niini nga mga hulga, ang ACG naghimo sa Pilipinas nga usa sa mas luwas nga dapit sa digital realm.
Sukad sa pagsugod niini niadtong Marso 2013, ang PNP ACG maoy nangulo sa pagsumpo sa cybercrimes sa Pilipinas. Atubangan sa nagkadako nga pagsalig sa internet sa publiko, ang ACG nakatala og 16,297 ka mga kaso sa cybercrime nga giimbestigahan karong tuiga gikan sa Enero hangtod Agusto.
“These cybercrime incidents are not static; they evolve with technology. This year, cybercriminals exploited emerging technologies like Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), cryptocurrencies, and online casinos to defraud unsuspecting victims. Notably, online scams have become the most prevalent type of cybercrime, reflecting the changing landscape of digital threats,” matod ni PNP-ACG Director, Police Brigadier General Sydney Hernia.
Sumala sa talaan, ang top ten cybercrimes nga gitaho sa ACG mao ang Online Scams, Illegal Access, Computer Related Identity Theft, ATM/Credit Card Fraud, Threats, Data Interference, Anti-photo and Video Voyeurism, Computer Related Fraud, ug Unjust Vexation.
Kini nga pagdagsang sa cybercrimes nalambigit kaayo ngadto sa dugang pagsalig sa publiko sa internet alang sa lainlaing komersyal nga mga kalihukan.
Niining panahona, nalabwan sa ACG ang mga nahimo niini kaniadto nga adunay 19 ka Warrants to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data, 214 ka arrest warrants nga gisilbi, 140 ka entrapment operations nga gihimo, ug mihatag og teknikal nga tabang sa 24 ka nagpadayon nga imbestigasyon sa ubang mga yunit ug ahensya, nga miresulta sa pagkasikop sa 397 ka mga indibidwal ug ang pagluwas sa 4,092 ka mga biktima, nag-una atol sa mga operasyon batok sa human trafficking.
