Ang coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), ug tuberculosis (TB), maoy tulo ka mga prayoridad nga isyo sa panglawas nga gimando nga sulbaron ni Presidente Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ngadto ni bag-ong gitudlo nga Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Teodoro Herbosa.
Sa usa ka publikong briefing nga gisibya sa telebisyon, si Herbosa niingon nga siya gihatagan sa mga mando aron masulbad ang tulo ka mga sakit nga mananakod nga kaylap gihapon sa nasod.
“I already created ‘action officers,’ which will be focusing on the problems of TB, HIV, and Covid,” matod ni Herbosa.
“These are the marching orders of the President so we are really focused on these problems,” siya nidugang.
Matod ni Herbosa nga si Marcos gusto nga ang nasod dunay “exit plan” alang sa Covid-19.
“He wants an ‘exit plan’ so we can already come out of this Covid-19, while continuing these necessary vaccines, particularly the bivalent vaccines,” matod ni Herbosa.
Sa bahin sa HIV, siya niingon nga gusto ni Marcos nga matubag ang nagkadaghang pagpanakod sa mga batan-on.
“He was asking why do we have many youths acquiring HIV. That is true because the World Health Organization informed us that we are one of the countries with very high rate of transmission,” matod niya.
Matod niya nga gusto ni Marcos nga molambo ang kahimtang sa nasod labot sa TB.
“He wants us to get out of the top 10 in tuberculosis numbers so we will also focus on doing that,” matod ni Herbosa.
