Ang Lalawigan sa Sugbo nagpabilin nga maoy labing adunahan nga probinsya sa nasod, base sa iyang assets sumala sa labing uwahi nga annual financial report sa Commission on Audit (COA) sa 2022.
Subay niini, si Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia nagtinguha nga mapaubsan usab ang gidaghanon sa mga kabos sa probinsya.
Sa reports sa COA, mitubo ang assets sa Probinsya ngadto sa P236 bilyunes sa 2022 gikan sa P215.27 bilyunes sa 2021.
Samtang sa samang taho, ang dakbayan sa Mandaue ug dakbayan sa Sugbo nalakip usab sa Top 10 richest cities sa nasod.
Ang Mandaue nga dunay P34 bilyunes nga kinatibuk-an nga assets nisaka sa ika-unom nga puwesto gikan sa ika-pito sa 2021 samtang, ang Cebu City ni us-os sa ikawalo nga pwesto sa P30 bilyunes nga assets, mas ubos itandi sa P33.3 bilyunes sa 2021.
Si Garcia nagkanayon nga usa ka dakong hagit ang pagpaabot ngadto sa mga konstituwente niini ang kadato sa probinsya sa Sugbo.
“It gets to be an even bigger challenge for me to translate that distinction into actual benefits for the Cebuanos. As I have always been saying what good will your status achieve as the richest province in the entire country if the Cebuanos do not feel it especially those that are in need of help,” matod ni Garcia.
