Usa ka semana human nasirad-an tungod sa insidente sa hacking, ang Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) nakahimo sa partial nga pagbukas sa operasyon sa online system niini sa Biyernes, Septiyembre 29, 2023.
Sa usa ka pamahayag, ang PhilHealth niingon nga ila nang gibalik ang operasyon sa ilang Corporate Website ug Member Portal sugod sa alas 12 sa udto sa Biyernes.
“These public-facing application systems are already up and running and now accessible to the general public through the internet,” matod niini.
Gidugang niini nga ang sistema sa e-Claims magamit usab “sulod sa mao nga adlaw.”
“PhilHealth has been working round the clock since Friday (last week) to clean up the affected workstations and restore normalcy the soonest,” matod sa PhilHealth.
Sa miaging semana, daghang mga sistema sa ahensya ang gi-hack ug giatake sa Medusa ransomware.
Kini nagpugos sa PhilHealth sa pagpasira sa tibuok sistema niini sa tambag sa Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT).
Mahitungod sa nagpadayon nga imbestigasyon sa insidente sa hacking, ang state-run health insurer miingon nga nagpadayon kini sa pagtrabaho uban sa DICT, National Privacy Commission (NPC), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), ug Philippine National Police (PNP). (TPM sa SunStar Philippines)
