Karon nang Hunyo 29, 2025, ang CHANGWON K-POP World Festival 2025 - Preliminary sa Sugbo nga ipahigayon sa City Wing Atrium sa SM Seaside City Cebu.
Human nipahuwat og duha ka tuig, mahatagan na sab og laing kahigayonan ang mga K-Pop aspirants nga mga Sugboanon nga maipakita ang ilang mga talento sa pagkanta ug pagsaway niining labing sikat nga Korean popular music.
Sa pagbalik sa maong kompetisyon, ang HALLYU IL, usa ka K-culture fan group sa Sugbo na mao ang nangulo niini apan gisuportaran gihapon sa Korean Consulate in Cebu ug sa Korean Association in Cebu ubos sa ilang "Korea-Friendly Foreigners Outreach Project."
"Out of 60 applicants, 40 teams have been carefully selected to compete in this year’s contest, showcasing their talent in both K-pop cover dancing and singing. I’m deeply grateful to the young performers in Cebu who continue to express their love for K-pop with such energy and dedication, even after a two-year break," pagbutyag ni Consul General of the Republic of Korean in Cebu Song Sewon.
Ang preliminary anaay 6 ka vocalists ug 34 ka dance cover groups nga mag-compete.
Ang 20 ka mga performers gikan sa preliminary mao ang mo-qualify sa umaabot Cebu K-pop Star diin mamahimo nga makadaog og P20,000 (Champion), P15,000 (1st runner-up), ug P10,000 (2nd runner-up).
