Malampusong gipahigayon sa Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office VII (DMW RO-VII) ang ilang unang Psychosocial Processing Activity alang sa piniling grupo sa mga OFW nga anaa sa kahimtang nga nagkinahanglan og tabang sa Rehiyon 7 niadtong Mayo 15, 2025.
Ang duha ka oras nga sesyon gipasiugdahan sa mga eksperto gikan sa Department of Health (DOH) Central Visayas ug gitumong kini aron suportahan ang emosyonal ug sikolohikal nga kahimtang sa mga OFW.
“We are very grateful to the Department of Health for its support to us especially on the conduct of this activity, which we hope will help our distressed OFWs cope with their circumstances and become more resilient no matter what life brings,” matod ni Maria Eloida O. Cantona, DMW RO-VII Officer-in-Charge ug Regional Director.
Sa iyang opening message, gidasig sab ni Cantona ang mga OFW-attendees nga hingpit nga moapil sa kalihukan ug gamiton kini isip kahigayonan sa pagpamalandong.
“I urged the OFW-attendees to maximize their participation in the session, be more open to share, learn from it and use the experience to their full advantage as they assess themselves on their choices, whether they stay in the country or go back abroad.
“Although, it is our wish for all of you to consider working overseas being your last option. Regardless, we wish you all the best and may this session become instrumental as you clearly examine
yourselves and hopefully enhance your well-being and mental health with everything that you’ve been through while working overseas,” dugang niya.
Ang mga partisipante sa session giila nga mga benepisyaryo sa DMW RO-VII’s Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo para sa mga OFWs na Nangangailangan (Aksyon) Funds and Livelihood Program for OFWs Reintegration (LPOR).
Ang inisyatiba nga gipangulohan sa Welfare Reintegration Services Division (WRSD), gikatakda nga magpadayon sa dugang nga mga sesyon nga giplano alang sa Hunyo, Septiyembre, ug Disyembre 2025.
Ang psychosocial session gipasiugdahan sa mga psychometrician gikan sa DOH Central Visayas nga sila si Ms. Jan Vinhery I. Taboada, Mr. Jezer Bon S. Luy, ug Mr. John Paul D. Cocon.
