Uban ni Maranan ang hepe sa Cebu City Police Office nga si Police Colonel Enrico Figueroa dungan sa pagpasalamat ngadto ni Mayor Garcia sa gitunol nga suporta sa kapulisan.
Matod ni Maranan nga walay rason nga dili motrabaho ang kapulisan sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo aron nga magpabilin ang kahapsay ug kalinaw sa siyudad.
"We're happy that our mayor is very supportive to his police force, the Cebu City Police Office and of course being the recipient of the full support of the mayor the City Director should ensure that the peace and order here in Cebu City should be very, very good," matod ni Maranan.
Gibutyag ni Maranan nga dili na bag-o kaniya ang Dakbayan sa Sugbo tungod kay nadestino siya niadtong dekada 90 isip hepe sa Vice Control Section, Theft and Robbery Section ug sa Narcotics Command.
Dunay gihimong lahugay ang PRO 7 sa iyang mga personnel apan sa Cebu City Police Office iyang gitahasan si Figueroa kon dunay angayang hulipan sa katungdanan ilabi na kadtong nisobra na sa tuig sa pagdumala sa usa ka police station.
Pahulipan sab kadtong mga station commanders nga nagpabaya sa ilang katungdanan.
“If you are re-miss your job, if you are not doing the mandate at pinabayaan mo yung mga tao and your peace and order in your particular areas is not good then we have to replace you in someone who will do your job. Because we owe it to the people of Cebu City especially with the support of our mayor that we do our job excellently, no more no less," dugang ni Maranan.
Sa wala pa gibalhin sa PRO-7 si Maranan nahimo pa siya nga hepe sa Police Regional Office 3 sa Luzon, hepe sa Quezon City Police District ug nahimo usab siya nga tigpamaba sa PNP sa Kampo Crame./AYB
