P500K ganti sa triathlon event sa Siargao

MOKABAT og P500,000 ang ganting salapi nga ipang-apod-apod sa mga mananaog sa labing unang triathlon event nga ipahigayon sa Siargao nga giulohan og Dapa 8080 Triathlon ug gikatakda karong Hinyo 13, 2020 sa Municipality of Dapa, Siargao Island.

Mismong si Dapa Mayor Elizabeth Matugas ang mianusyo niini atol sa paglusad sa kompetisyon kagahapon sa Cebu Country Club.

“Dapa is the economic center of Siargao but we’re left behind in terms of popularity as tourist destination among the nine municipalities in Siargao. With this effort we’re hoping to bring more tourists by the way of triathlon,” pasabot ni Matugas.

Ang local government unit sa Dapa mikuha sa Cebu-based CornerStone Group aron maoy mopadagan sa kompetisyon kansang katuoyoan mao ang pagpalambo sa turismo sa lungsod.

Nakadesisyon ang mga nagpasiugda nga ilusad ang kalihukan sa Sugbo gumikan kay nabantog kini kon triathlon ang hisgutan ug daghan sab ang triathletes nga nagpuyo ning maong dapit.

Naglaom si Matugas nga makadani sila og dul-an sa 800 ra mga partisipante ning maong swim-bike-run event.

Ang kompetisyon gilangkuban og 1.8-kilometer run, 65K bike ug 14K swim.

“We invite all the triathletes to come to Dapa, Siargao not just to race but explore the tourist destination of the place,” batbat ni Matugas.
