Gisugdan og pagsaway sa legal team ni kanhi Presidente Rodrigo Duterte ang pre-trial hearing sa International Criminal Court (ICC) niadtong Biyernes, Marso 14, 2025, nga mipasangil sa maong korte nga “kidnapping” ang ilang gihimong pagdala sa kanhi presidente ngadto sa The Hague, Netherlands.
Ang pre-trial hearing, nga gipangulohan ni Presiding Judge Iulia Antoanella Motoc, parte sa legal nga proseso sa pagtubag sa mga reklamo nga krimen batok sa katawhan nga may kalambigitan sa kontrobersyal nga anti-drug campaign ni Duterte, nga miresulta sa pagkamatay sa liboan atol sa iyang termino.

“It is not surprising that my client was abducted from his country. ICC private jets do not drop out of thin air. That jet, which received my client, was coordinated in advance,” matod ni Medialdea.

“Only this morning have I met him for the first time with less than an hour to discuss legal issues. I have not been able to present him with a hard copy of the arrest warrant because we were not supplied with such,” matod ni Medialdea.
“I have not even been able to explain to him what the prosecution requested when seeking the issuance of the arrest warrant. This is because the chamber only established a redacted version of the prosecution's request last night. Other than to identify himself, my client is not able to contribute anything to this hearing,” dugang niini.

“I believe that the Court has taken specific measures with regard to his health situation and I note that subsequent to his arrest and when he arrived at the detention center, the Court's doctor was of the opinion that you were fully mentally aware and fit and that you have undergone further checks and tests at the detention facility,” matod ni Motoc.
Si Motoc naghatag og gibug-aton nga ang tumong sa sesyon dili mao ang pagtubag sa mga merito sa kaso apan ang pagpahibalo kang Duterte sa mga reklamo batok kaniya ug sa iyang mga katungod ubos sa Rome Statute.
Human gibasahan sa mga reklamo, ang maghuhukom milatid sa mga katungod ni Duterte, nga nag-ingon nga ang hearing usa ka procedural nga lakang aron masiguro nga nasabtan sa kanhi presidente ang iyang legal nga mga katungod, lakip na ang iyang katungod nga magpabiling hilom, ang iyang katungod nga mohagit sa mga reklamo, ug ang iyang katungod sa legal nga representasyon.
PETSA SA HEARING
