Gitugotan ni Presidente Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang kalihim sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) nga makatuboy ug representante nga maoy moapruba sa mga hangyo sa pagbiyahe sa gawas sa nasod sa mga lokal nga opisyal sa kagamhanan.
Pinaagi sa pagtugot sa Presidente, gipirmahan ni Executive Secretary Ralph Recto ang Administrative Order (AO) 47 nga nag-amendar sa AO 267 sa tuig 1992, aron mapaspas ang pagproseso sa mga aplikasyon sa pagbiyahe sa mga lokal nga opisyal.
“Considering the volume of travel requests and the increasing demands of regional coordination, there is a need to refine approval processes to ensure responsiveness amid contemporary government realities, strengthen government systems and improve bureaucratic efficiency, while also maintaining sufficient oversight and supervision over local governments,” ang mando nag-ingon.
Ubos sa Republic Act (RA) 7160, o ang Local Government Code, ang mga lokal nga opisyal nga mobiyahe sa gawas sa nasod gikinahanglang mokuha ug permiso gikan sa Office of the President kon ang gidugayon sa pagbiyahe molapas sa tulo ka bulan, atol sa mga panahon sa emerhensya o krisis, o kon ang pagbiyahe naggamit ug pundo sa publiko.
Ang AO 267 sa 1992 naghatag ug awtoridad sa DILG secretary nga moaprubar niining mga hangyo sa pagbiyahe. / TPM /SunStar Philippines
