P200-M dredging of creeks in San Enrique starts

SAN Enrique Mayor Jilson Tubillara said the P200 million dredging project in the two creeks in his town has already started.

Tubillara said the project is undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for the expansion and dredging of the Bagonawa River and Cansonsing Creek in Barangay Tabao Rizal.

Tubillara said the dredging projects are being done to control flooding in the town during heavy rains.

The mayor said the project is the answer to the flooding problem of some barangays and that the municipality has been known as a catch basin for water originating from Bago City, La Carlota City, and Murcia.

Tubillara said the project is expected to be completed in a span of one ear.
