
THE Department of Education (DepEd)-Leyte Division honored its partners in educational development during the recent Local Stakeholders’ Convergence through Local Government Unit (LGU) Forum and Partnership Appreciation Program in Dulag, Leyte.
Among the honorees were the 40 mayors of Leyte, Provincial Governor Jericho Petilla, representatives from the legislative districts of Leyte, and key partner organizations including Teach for the Philippines, Food for the Hungry, Global Care Philippines, Manila Teachers' Mutual Aid System, Inc. (Mtmas), City Savings Bank, China Savings Bank, Leyte Provincial Federation of Parents Teachers Association, Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), Philippine Red Cross (PRC), National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, Nestlé Philippines, and some members of the local media.
Leyte Board Member Raissa Villasin lauded the initiatives of DepEd-Leyte Superintendent Dr. Mariza Magan, Dulag Mayor Mildred Joy Que, and the host school districts “for their continued commitment to uplifting education in the province.”
“This gathering stands as a testament to the strong collaboration and unwavering support of our stakeholders and partners. Their contributions are instrumental in advancing educational initiatives in the region,” Villasin said in a statement.
In her address, Magan expressed gratitude for the contributions of local stakeholders to the division’s education agenda.
She also acknowledged the presence of DepEd Director Lucio Jesus Abalos of the Office of the Secretary, and DepEd-Eastern Visayas Project Development Officer IV Eden Dadap, who represented Regional Director Evelyn Fetalvero.
The success of the event was made possible through the support and leadership of Leyte Division Assistant Superintendents Atty. Calick Arrieta and Dr. Teodorico Peliño Jr., Curriculum Implementation Division Chief Grace Villanueva, Schools Governance and Operations Division Chief Dr. Gil Esplanada, and other personnel.
