237 new cops ready for deployment in Eastern Visayas

EASTERN Visayas will see another 237 new police officers in different towns in the region following the graduation ceremony of Basic Internal Security Operations Course (Bisoc) Class 10-2020 “Makasiklab” on Friday, November 13, 2020.

“Now that you have been equipped with the necessary training and skills, I expect that you will effectively contribute in the realization of PRO8’s objectives,” said Regional Police Director Brigadier General Ronaldo De Jesus.

In his speech, the official urged the newly graduated officers to “raise the quality of public service in the region.”

Of the 237 new officers, 200 are males and 37 are females.

Lieutenant Colonel Ma. Bella Rentuaya, police spokesperson, said the police officers completed their Bisoc at the Regional Special Training site in Babatngon, Leyte.

According to the police regional command, the training course is designed to equip the new officers with the “right attitude, values, skills and knowledge” for law-enforcement activities.

The new batch of police officers will be turned-over to the Regional Mobile Force Battalion prior to their deployment and assignment to the different field units, it added. (SunStar Philippines)
