A CASE of rape has been prepared against two Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairmen who allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in Naval, Biliran, police said Monday, June 13, 2022.
The suspects, aged 25 and 23 years old, are both residents of Naval town.
Based on initial investigation, the victim attended a barangay fiesta and had a drinking spree with her friends and the suspects until the early morning of June 8, 2022.
One suspect told the victim to accompany him to bring the other SK chairman to the lodging house because the latter was drunk, police said in the report.
The victim agreed, and they drove a motorcycle to look for a lodging house and ended up at the hotel.
According to the victim, she was raped repeatedly by the suspects at the hotel, and when she regained strength, she slowly stood up and escaped from her abusers.
She went to a gasoline station nearby and asked for help to report the incident to the police.
Naval Municipal Police Station personnel conducted a hot pursuit operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
Authorities also brought the victim to a rural health unit for medical examination. (SunStar Philippines)
